Michelle Wright,  BA(Hons), MPhil.  (School Director)

After teaching Art & Design in North Lanarkshire Council for ten years I decided to create my own Art and Design school in Ayrshire where I originally come from.  I grew up in Ayr and then studied and graduated from Glasgow School of Art (GSA) in 2000 with BA(hons) Fine Art, Sculpture.

I taught with the GOALS initiative and was seconded to Islay and Jura to provide workshops in primary and secondary schools.  After this I was awarded a scholarship to further my studies at GSA and complete an MPhil Art & Design in Organisational Contexts funded by British Waterways and Scottish Enterprise.

I have worked as an Arts coordinator for British Waterways, collaborated with Glasgow Sculpture Studios and also students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as a practicing artist for various theatrical productions.  I have exhibited my own work at the Tramway Art Gallery in Glasgow , Crossraguel Abbey in Ayrshire and then completed my teacher training at Strathclyde university.

Over the years I have developed a wide range of skills and would love to share them with you.
